CARA 2

Following on from the success of the Creativity Action Research Awards (CARA) project in 2005, CapeUK are delighted to announce a second round of CARA - CARA 2!

With further funding from Creative Partnerships, we will build a new set of partnerships to conduct action research into aspects of creativity within education. We will also continue to fund a small number of partnerships from the first phase of the project in order to develop their work with a deeper understanding of the principles of action research.

We are looking to recruit a group of partnerships that are serious about exploring and finding out more about learning for creativity. We are leaving the application process very open because we want to find out what it is that interests, excites, intrigues or challenges you about creativity in the school context.

In CARA 2 we are interested in you finding out about creativity itself, not simply as a means to an end but as a key component of learning. It may be that you want to test out some particular ideas for helping your pupils be more creative, or explore specific elements of the creative process. Is there a ‘language' of creativity that needs to be developed regardless of the subject or task? How can you tell when and how learners are being creative?

We are hoping that by the end of CARA 2, we will have a wealth of information and some real insight into creativity, the creative process, action research and partnership working.

The closing date has now passed and we are no longer accepting applications
