Leeds Flagship
Education Leeds led this Learning & Skills Council West Yorkshire co-financed partnership project, the aim of which was to increase the quality and availability of vocational and work-related learning opportunities for disaffected/disadvantaged 14-17 year old pupils within Leeds.CapeUK's role within this partnership was to research and create an information pack for practitioners, which introduces a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies to engage young people in their preparation for the world of work. All of the partners were asked to identify particularly successful approaches, which were shown to be effective and could serve as replicable models.
The resulting 92 page guide Everyday Creativity - Acquiring the Art of Lifelong Learning, written and compiled by Jane Storr, includes a number of case studies and follow-up activities as well as young people's quotes and doodles.
The guide is available as a download from this site. We also have a limited number of printed copies for distribution.
