CapeUK is part of a national network of 10 Bridge Organisations, funded by Arts Council England to use its experience and expertise to connect children and young people, schools and communities. As the Bridge Organisation for Yorkshire and the Humber, CapeUK will play a key strategic role in supporting the Arts Council’s goal to ensure that every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts and culture.
From April 2012 CapeUK begins its role as a Bridge Organisation, supporting schools, informal learning providers and arts and cultural organisations (including museums, galleries and libraries) in the region to collaborate, develop and improve opportunities for children and young people.
We are hosting Information Sharing Events about CapeUK’s role as ‘Bridge Organisation’ for Arts Council England (ACE) across the region, to book onto any of the following please click here;

This is an opportunity for you to find out more about our ‘Bridge’ role in the region and how we might connect along the way. We’d like you to contribute to our thinking and help us build a picture of the existing opportunities for children and young people in relation to arts and culture. We want to understand the strengths, development needs and the challenges faced by those working with or for young people, so we can identify gaps, areas of need and opportunities.
CapeUK is an experienced research and development organisation specialising in creativity and learning. We have a strong reputation for our extensive work in this field. We have been based in the region for the last 14 years and are delighted to have been commissioned to be the Arts Council bridge organisation and look forward to building strong collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships over the coming years.
We look forward to meeting you.
NB: If you are an NPO we are hosting two regional consultation events specifically for NPOs. These events are predominantly for those who have identified goal 5 in their Arts Council application, but are also open to other NPOs with an interest in work by, with or for children and young people.
