CapeUK are a Social Enterprise Qualification (SEQ) Training Provider. CapeUK will host and facilitate training dates across the Yorkshire and Humber.

The Social Enterprise Qualification is a global qualification that encourages and accredits people interested in making a positive change; for themselves, society and the environment. The Social Enterprise Qualification (SEQ) has been developed by Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) and delivered in conjunction with CapeUK.

CapeUK will be training schools, FE Colleges, youth workers and also adult training providers across Yorkshire and Humber, to deliver SEQ in their own particular settings.

From fundraising fetes to charity auctions, many schools and youth groups already undertake a range of positive, social and environmental activities; with the arrival of SEQ there is now a route to recognise, encourage and value that activity, providing a framework and accredited qualification (Bronze SEQ is a QCF Level 2 Award and Silver SEQ is a QCF Level 2 Certificate.)  Where relevant, SEQ is fundable in maintained schools and youth development services for pre-16s from Section 96 (a list of qualifications approved by the Secretary of State.) Through taking part in SEQ, young people gain real experience of making money, organising events and building management skills, all the time considering how what they are doing, can make a real difference to the world around them.

CapeUK is an independent not for profit organisation committed to improving the lives of children and young people – preparing them to face the future with creativity and self-belief.  CapeUK are commitment to social enterprise principals, operating in a way that creates positive social change, we do this through leading and partnering with programmes that priorities the right for every child and young person to experience and develop their own channels for creativity (be it through the arts and/or social engagement) which will lead them into being proactive young adults in the future.

On Friday 16th March 2012, CapeUK will be hosting a Yorkshire Social Enterprise Qualification (SEQ) Conference at Shine in Leeds.
