The arts make a real difference to life in most schools. As well as being an important aspect of pupil learning, they enhance the life of the school and its relationship to its community.
To achieve this, the arts need to be well planned and resourced. ‘Arts make a difference’ offers schools a framework for assessing their arts provision, and will help schools to develop an arts policy that can really contribute to whole school development. It comprises a set of questions and statements that pinpoint a school’s progress towards excellence in the arts.
