Launch Party – The Early Years Creative Cookbook

We will soon be launching CapeUK’s first culinary resource – The Early Years Creative Cookbook.

To view our invitation please click here

This publication brings together recipes of creative development drawn from a project instigated by Early Years Learning Consultants for Calderdale involving artists, children and staff from across six early years settings in the authority. The project was instigated and supported by the Early Years Learning Consultants for Calderdale.  We hope it will inspire others to cook up similar experiments and sample the benefits such work can offer.

Early Years Creative Cookbook Launch is on Thursday 15th December 2011, 6:30-7:30pm at Heath Training Centre, Free School Lane, Halifax.

This resource brings together recipes of creative development for children and staff involved in projects across six Calderdale early years settings.

At the launch you will:
- receive a FREE copy of this resource
- look at how you might use the cookbook in your own setting or practice
- celebrate the achievements of those involved in the Calderdale project
- share in a real creative culinary experience!

If you would like to attend this launch, please RSVP to charlotte.scott@capeuk.org with your name, organisation and some further information of your involvement with Early Years sector or call 0845 450 3700

One small step for early years One giant leap for children

‘One Small Step for Early Years, One Giant Leap for Children’ is a documented journey of creative learning.  The journey was undertaken by ten early years settings, collaborating with arts and cultural professionals on a creative learning programme during 2009-2010. The settings collaborated in a network, which was established to enable all practitioners to share their thinking and practice, explore creative ways to build more meaningful early learning environments, and to learn about the opportunities to nurture children’s creativity within early years pedagogy.
